Fragmenta is a project by Micaela Lattanzio, a Roman photographer and artist who explores the fragmentation of female identity through the deconstruction and the subsequent reworking of female portraits.
The faces photographed by the artist are meticulously cut out and dismembered in many tiny fragments. These are then reorganized and assembled on a new support, recreating the original image but this time completely deconstruited.
Micaela Lattanzio explores the intricate paths of consciousness and self-awareness, symbolically represented in this work that goes beyond form.
