In the last 4 years, Domenico Romeo from being a graphic designer of a Milanese agency has become one of the most interesting names in the international fashion system. A lot of sacrifice and dedication has been served for this professional growth. So, in these years, Domenico has moved away from rollers and brushes, public events and street art festivals, while continuing to paint in his home studio.
Street art and fashion are two distant worlds and probably some fundamentalists will also have thought that for Domenico there would be no more time, that his love for art would leave the place to fashion.
With Fuoco Nero, in the artistic context of Avanzamento Progressivo, Domenico replied to everyone confirming his value as an artist. With his work he investigated the spontaneous birth of a fire from ashes. Like the phoenix that just from the ashes starts flying again. Similarly, through this moment of public art, Domenico broke the silence and returned to paint.
His mysterious lines have returned more broken than ever before. Through a modified roller and a flat brush he told how his blacks and greys ashes come to life. With a small brush he then gave the final blow drawing the smoke, clear symbol that Domenico’s fire is alive and burning again.
