In India, in Mumbai, there is a reality that may seem to us to be at the limit of what is conceivable. Dharavi‘s neighborhood, or slum, with its 1.7km², can accommodate over 1 million people. It is in this small piece of the world that Italian street artist Millo created his latest work entitled Future. The character designed by Millo walks covered by a blue umbrella like the Indian nights and making his way through streets and flowers is heading towards a better future.

In its essentiality, it is a perfect work, because it manages to create a strong dialogue with the place where it was made, well described by the words of the artist.

“Dharavi is a unique place, with its colors, lights and loud sounds, it’s where at least 5 different main religions lives together in armony, where the idea of “sharing” doesn’t need to be thought cause it’s reality, and where people smiles at you with all their soul.”
