Among NFT, digital illustrations, 3D animations and graphic design, there is still someone who carries on centuries-long artistic traditions, but with a contemporary touch. Ilaria Ratti falls into the latter category. 

Ilaria Ratti, aka Rats and Lillies, is a young Ligurian artist who uses the technique of oil painting to represent private, intimate scenes with a powerful erotic charge. In some cases, the representation exceeds realism and the artist decides to dig deeper, as if she wanted to get to the soul of the subjects she represents. 

And so the faces become blurred, the features are no longer recognizable and the colors are mixed. People become one, so much so that you can hear their breaths going at the same pace. 

Ilaria Ratti is inspired by music, movies and emotions and the decision to represent with a technique completely against the trend and that seems almost to want to fight the digital is not to be underestimated.
