Rebecca Louise Law, a British artist, presents her last incredible installation, Community: an inverted garden composed of a cascade of dried and fresh plant materials hanging from the ceiling. The work is on display at the Toledo Museum of Art; in fact, the artist has used a series of plants and flowers originating from the northwest of Ohio and has involved the public with volunteers to create her work: the result is a work that everyone feels a bit ‘and the creation of a community.

The installation required 1,800 hours of volunteer work and assistance from community members to assemble garlands of flowers and plant materials. It isn’t the first time that the artist creates beautiful floral installations and has many experiences behind her, like the one in 2015 that you can find here.

The TMA team collected numerous plant samples from 40 acres of land including pressed pear and oak leaves, American gum, fertile fronds of the ostrich fern, sawtooth oak acorn caps, carob cuttings, fir cones, pine cones, miscanthus seeds, pampas, northern oats and annabelle hydrangeas.
