In 1989, a few months before his death, Keith Haring creates a large mural in Pisa, the result of an unexpected friendship with Piergiorgio Castellani, 19-year-old Italian happened more or less by chance in New York.
“Tuttomondo” is born and Pisa becomes for a moment the center of Italian street art.
After more than 30 years the Tuscan city returns to the center of the street scene, hosting the 11th edition of the Internet Festival, from 7 to 10 October. Starting from the first day of the festival, “Cellular Perspectives”, a work by the New York artist Gaia, will be live painted.

Forbes magazine has included Gaia among the Under 30 who will change the world, in Pisa meanwhile will create a mural of 30sqm that tells the physical limitations experienced during the pandemic. This is not the first time that Gaia interacts on the walls of the Tuscan city: already in 2017 he transformed the facade of the Saint Gobain company with “Re-Nasci”, a monument to work inaugurated in the presence of Philippe Daverio.
The scenic effect of the work will be enhanced by the performance Kaleidoscope, in which the talent of the violinist Nancy Parra and the VJ Kri:_mi will transport visitors to new unexplored worlds.
For Internet Festival 2021 the theme addressed by the artists will be #PHYGITAL, an attempt to define the link between the physical and digital worlds.
