Touch, listen, play, taste. Conscious Objects — the exhibition curated by Isola Design for Milano Design Week — is much more than a show: it’s a multisensory experience that fully engages the audience, turning visitors into active participants. From chairs that only work when used in pairs, to objects that adapt to their users, and board games with cards you can actually… taste, everything invites interaction, curiosity, and contact.

The exhibition brings together designers and innovators who can envision a future where sustainability, functionality, and a playful spirit coexist in harmony with technology. The pieces on display, created through a human-centered design approach, blend human, digital, and robotic craftsmanship, embracing innovative materials and ethical production processes to reduce environmental impact.

To make the experience even more immersive, interactive screens share production stages, design insights, and behind-the-scenes stories. Part of the set-up is also built using glass bricks by Carro — an Italian excellence in the field with over fifty years of experience.

And even the sense of smell gets its moment. The olfactory identity has been curated by contemporary perfumery Narici, which selected the fragrance Siena, inspired by Tuscan tobacco and diffused through the space using Integra Fragrances‘ technology. In short, Conscious Objects invites us to imagine a world where design isn’t just seen — it’s lived.
