Artist Kevin Peterson is known because of his wonderful, incredibly realistic paintings depicting children and animals in the same context. The subjects’ innocence is in contrast to the decadent urban background in ruins, where the degradation and abandonment reigns.

The scenes are actually metaphors of the path that children, future adults, undertake in the course of life, where they are accompanied by the scenic and reassuring presence of guide-animals. Two defenseless subjects become protagonists of a world that never manifests itself as idyllic, but inhospitable.
