Kristen Liu-Wong through her illustrations NSFW represents a multicolored and fantastic world full of snakes, sensuality, oddities, lava lamps, inverted cocktails everywhere and elegant porcelain vases.
Born and raised in San Fransisco, Kristen left home at the age of 17 to move to Brooklyn, where she studied illustration at the Pratt Institute. Her work is lively, exuberant and unsettling, offering a perfect fresco of today’s society.
Kristen Liu-Wong has developed her own personal style after extensively experimenting with a variety of representative techniques such as pop-up paper engineering, screen printing and typography, video animation and web design.

“If I find something interesting or visually striking, I try to incorporate it in some way in my work because I believe that if you have an open and curious mind, you can never exhaust the inspiration”.
