About six months ago we left Aryz in Belgium, where he created the work entitled El Auxilio for The Crystal Ship festival. Today we are returning to the subject because Octavi Arrizabalaga aka Aryz has presented his latest creation entitled La ruina on his Instagram profile.
The work in question was created inside the church of Sant Pere in Corbera d’Ebre, a small village in Catalonia a few steps from the Ebro river which was totally destroyed in 1938 during the Spanish Civil War.
The installation, in fact, represents the moment of the aerial bombardment of civilian homes. La ruina is 10 metres high and is made up of three panels that were prepared by the artist beforehand and then assembled directly inside the church.
La ruina will remain visible to the public until the end of August by prior booking.
