It is not uncommon for people who live and work in the city to want to take a relaxing walk, perhaps in a place with no traffic, where you don’t have to think about traffic lights, cars or bicycles. Unfortunately, such places are difficult to find and in the end we all find ourselves on static treadmills dreaming of walking on the seafront.
In addition to sustainability and environmental impact, architecture is also trying to find solutions to these problems, an example is the Loop of Wisdom, the latest project by Powerhouse Company.

In China, in Chengdu, where the metropolitan area is expanding through the construction of new neighborhoods, the Powerhouse Company studio has been called to design a temporary reception center.
The two buildings that make up the center were then connected by the real characteristic element of this project, a sort of circular track that sometimes goes down coinciding with the ground and sometimes goes up, creating pleasant arcades or going to serve as a roof for the buildings.

The 600 meters long path of the Loop of Wisdom follows the natural lines of the landscape without changing it, but to make it stand out a very bright red tone was chosen, which creates strong contrast with the surrounding green.

Although the initial idea was to create a temporary building, the client liked the Loop of Wisdom so much that in the end, instead of dismantling it, he decided to make it a permanent structure.
