Louis Vuitton will host an exhibition – entitled ” Louis Vuitton X ” – that will immerse you in its archive by telling you the story through the most iconic products of the house and that has changed the perception of fashion in the world over the past 160 years.
A composition of 180 unique pieces will be dusted off and brought to light after more than a century. From the special trunks of the early last century, to the bottles of art deco perfume and the shop windows commissioned and designed by Louis Vuitton’s nephew, Gaston-Louis.
There will also be some of the brand’s most important collaborations and commissions with Karl Lagerfeld, Rei Kawakubo, Cindy Sherman, Frank Gehry, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Prince and Zaha Hadid.
” Louis Vuitton X ” will also have a preview of the new Artycapucines collection, a selection of original Capucines bags – named after the street where the first store opened – reinterpreted by contemporary artists Sam Falls, Urs Fischer, Nicholas Hlobo, Alex Israel, Tschabalala Self and Jonas Wood, which will be produced in a limited edition.
The exhibition will take place at 468 North Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, CA, 90210 from 27 June to 15 September. Don’t miss it.
