On Saturday 22, the canyons dug out of ice and the stone quarries around Lake Maggiore will become a natural stage for the Italian premiere of the Lumière III show by the German artist Robert Henke, who will open the 2017 edition of NeXTones.

Robert Henke is a Sound Design Engineer and Professor at the Berlin University of Arts as well as one of the creators of Ableton Live software, a key instrument in electronic music production since 1990s. His artworks are exhibited at the Tate Modern, Center Pompidou, MoMA PS1 and presented at the most important festivals and contemporary art spaces.

At NeXTones Henke will present a laser-effect audio-visual performance that will create an incredible show within the gray beola majestic quarry on the Lake Maggiore mountains.

The lights’ performance will go from the purity of an absolute white to an almost total darkness thus giving life to elegant forms and extraordinary kinetic phenomena that cover the entire spectrum of the visual. The final result is an immersive work halfway between electronic concert and visual art.

The lineup of the 2017 NeXTones is completed with the German producer Vril (Giegling, Dystopian), the presentation of the Merchants project with the namesake debut album, Blanck Mass with his third album World Eater and the DJ Set of Marco Shuttle.
