To some artists, you can give everything, even a basketball court, and they will turn it into a work of art. That’s exactly what MADSTEEZ did, the stage name for Mark Paul Deren, a street artist who grew up on the outskirts of Washington.

MADSTEEZ is best known for his large works, characterized by bright, vivid colors with subjects belonging to pop culture and sport.

In this case, the field in Harlem‘s historic park, St. Nicholas Park, between 139th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue, was invaded by his colors and art. This type of mural, in addition to having an artistic utility, are also an original way to bring people closer to sport and give new life to places sometimes forgotten and poorly reduced.
