Mercy.
From this emotion, from this extinct virtue, begins the reflection of the artist Evoca1 in his first solo exhibition in Italy, at the Galleria Varsi in Rome.

Dominican of birth, actually, resides in South Florida where he continues his research in figurative painting, especially in the public space, with works of great magnitude that tell his vision of life through evocative metaphors where children, men and animals are symbols of his personal history and social struggles.

With the Mercy exhibition, which will take place from 6 May to 4 June, he proposes a question about today’s times regarding the concept of pietas and the concept of the other.
His work wants to be a metaphor for us to reflect on the importance of Mercy and his current absence, rejecting the cultural and political context in which he lives and pushing the alienated individual to find the true meaning of communities.

Evoca1’s goal is to remind man that, unlike other living species, his biological plan provides the other to develop, complete, live or die.
