Wunderkammern presents a new show by Italian artist 2501, Milano

2501 is the date of birth, but also the name behind the artist Jacopo Ceccarelli: one of the most important artists in the scene of the urban art, Jacopo has gained his style thanks to the contact with the South American school of street art and from this event he has decided to create a new name/number to indicate a personal and artistic rebirth. His style is pretty recognizable, made of black and white sinuous lines, golden or silver circles, instruments to show the concept and gestures.

During his artistic path, there have been many names of places that have hosted his works: MACRO of Rome, Triennale of Milan, Museo Pecci of Prato, Reggia di Caserta and Edward De Valle Foundation of Santo Domingo. From May 16th until July 28th, he will be back in Milan with a new exhibition with the homonym name of the city at the Milanese location of Wunderkammern gallery, with whom the artist has already worked for the personal  Nomadic experiment, on the brink of disaster in the city of Rome.

For this exposition, Jacopo has realized works on aluminium, ceramics that rebuild, with their union, the map of the city, sculptures made of urban tubes: Milan is everywhere in his works, often hidden, often recognizable, the architecture of the city is not a medium anymore but an integrant part of the artistic creation.
