TOMMY JEANS‘ Spring 2021 collection was released worldwide on February 4 for which a worldwide campaign celebrating diversity and sustainability was created. “Music Takes Us Further”, the name of the campaign, is based on Tommy Hilfiger’s musical heritage. The American brand has selected a substantial group of young talents, including musicians, poets and activists, with diverse and heterogeneous backgrounds and stories, to best embody the claim.
Their faces have become the manifestos for the new TOMMY JEANS Spring 2021 collection, which, as well as presenting urban and sporty influences, also has a focus on sustainability and inclusivity. Thus we find an expanded size range, sustainable fabrics such as 100% recycled denim and a production system that drastically reduces water usage, saving up to 50 litres of water per garment.
Embracing and sharing Tommy Hilfiger’s message, we at Collater.al had the chance to interview some of the campaign’s protagonists, including a special guest selected by us.
Over the next few weeks, here and on Collater.al’s Instagram profile, you will be able to see video interviews with Austrian musician, rapper and activist Keke and German DJs Lucia Luciano and Gizem Adiyaman, founders of the @hoe__mies project, which develops through a series of parties and a community space focused on women, non-binary and trans people. Then it will be the turn of the young and emerging Australian singer, songwriter and producer RINI before ending with our choice, Miragal, the Italian singer of Moroccan origin who for the last couple of years has been driving everyone crazy with her sound that blends R’n’B and traditional Moroccan music.
In the meantime, here is a selection of photos from the TOMMY JEANS campaign.
