All the must-see December 2020’s Netflix films and tv

We’re getting to the drippings of this 2020 and maybe, for once, instead of sitting down and summing up the year, it’s time to distract ourselves with a good film and then find out what will be the must-see novelties in the December Netflix catalog.

Mank: David Fincher returns with a film that takes us back to the early 40s, to the discovery of one of the most fascinating stories related to cinema. Mank tells the stories connected to the writing of one of the most beautiful films ever, Citizen Kane. Fincher’s film, which was released in some American cinemas in mid-November, stars screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz known as Mank and played by a wonderful Gary Oldman. The British actor is joined by an exceptional cast including Amanda Seyfried, Lily Collins and Charles Dance.
Mank will be available from Friday 4 December.

Rose Island: Elio Germano, Matilda De Angelis, Fabrizio Bentivoglio, Luca Zingaretti and many others together in the Sydney Sibilia film that tells the fascinating story of Giorgio Rosa. Giorgio Rosa is an engineer who in 1968 built an island in the middle of the sea, declaring it independent and challenging the Italian Government.
A crackling comedy that tells a story that really happened to many unknown people. A film not to be missed.
Rose Island will be available from Wednesday 9 December.

The Prom: After almost terrorizing us with Ratched, Ryan Murphy returns to Netflix with a perfect movie to celebrate with sparkling costumes, breathtaking choreography and a stellar cast. Meryl Streep, James Corden, Nicole Kidman and Andrew Rannells are ready to put on their sequined dresses and organize a very special prom.
If you like musicals, dances that come to life in shopping malls and a bit of healthy exaggeration then this is the movie for you!
The Prom will be available from Friday 11th December.

Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom: Based on the Pulitzer Prize winner August Wilson, this film produced by Denzel Washington and directed by George C. Wolfe takes us to Chicago in 1927 where the blues began to warm people’s souls.
The protagonist of the film is the famous singer Ma Rainey, played by Viola Davis, and accompanied by her croissant player played by Chadwick Boseman. This production was the last one in which the American actor took part before his untimely death last August.
Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom will be available from Friday 18 December.

The Midnight Sky: George Clooney worked behind and in front of the camera, signing the direction and winning the lead role in this post-apocalyptic film. Clooney, as Augustine, a solitary scientist in the Arctic, tries to prevent Sully, played by Felicity Jones, and his fellow astronauts from returning to Earth, where a mysterious global catastrophe has broken out.
The film is the film adaptation of the novel Good Morning, Midnight by Lily Brooks-Dalton.
The Midnight Sky will be available from Wednesday 23 December.

Bridgerton: the mother of the TV series is ready to return with a show based on Julia Quinn’s novel series. Shonda Rhimes, the author of Grey’s Anatomy, takes us inside the English nobility of the early 1800s. Here the life of the aristocracy is shattered by the publications of Lady Whistledown, an anonymous lady ready to reveal all the secrets of young and old.
A carefree and captivating series with which to spend the post-Christmas lunch!
The 8 episodes of Bridgerton will be available from Friday 25 December.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina – part 4: My name is Sabrina Spellman and I will not sign it away. This is how the trailer for one of the most anticipated series finale begins. The Netflix show, which started in 2018 and stars the young Kiernan Shipka, has reached its final chapter that promises to live up to the three previous seasons.
The fourth part of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, also composed of 8 episodes, will be available on Thursday 31 December, just in time for a final toast!

Changing Time, the photographic project by Ramona Zordini

Changing Time, the photographic project by Ramona Zordini

Ramona Zordini is an Italian photographer and visual artist whose work focuses on ambiguity and transition, investigating the body and its plasticity.

Water is the theater of his shots. The bodies emerge revealing their sensuality and fragility. According to the artist, physical evolution comes from our moods.

Memory and the evolution of the emotional sphere are fundamental elements of our self-determination. But even if we are sure we can” seize the moment “and we realize the importance of every second, this moment has already passed.

Each piece of the puzzle must be replaced again in a never-ending cycle.

The powerful and seductive photography by Geoffrey Yahya Vargas

The powerful and seductive photography by Geoffrey Yahya Vargas

Giulia Guido · 1 week ago · Photography

Discovering a world made of both lights and shadows is exactly what we find ourselves doing when we look at Geoffrey Yahya Vargas‘ shots.
Geoffrey Yahya Vargas is a filmmaker and photographer based in Paris. The images are his means of communication and to achieve his work he experiments with different techniques, without setting himself any limits.

In his portfolio in fact we find more or less conceptual short films and music videos, but what has captured our attention and our gaze are his shots. Made both in digital and analog, Geoffrey Yahya Vargas creates powerful and impactful imagery.

The close-ups of the models he photographs hypnotize us and their profiles, emphasized by colored lights seem to seduce the viewer.

The one photographed by Geoffrey seems like a forbidden world, where everything is focused on the body, gestures, movements and emotions. A quick glance at his Instagram profile will be enough to be sure.

Eric Marrian’s sensual and elegant shots

Eric Marrian’s sensual and elegant shots

Buddy · 1 week ago · Photography

The female body is a work perfectly composed over ten thousand years. A magnetic field. A map to explore. Every line of the body, the commas that compose it; the curves, the voids and the solids that the legs, the arms, the hips, draw in the background; its imperfections.

There is something extremely fascinating in the imperfect geometry of a woman’s body, however, it is done. Eric Marrian has noticed that, as a good architect of geometry and perfection, he has been taking care of it for a long time.

Marrian, with his photos, scrutinizes the symmetry of the female body, its generous curves, its sinuous features, its caressing softness, then giving it, through the use of color, the hieratic and the concrete perfection of the statues.

That body that we see every day, that we take care of, love, look in a distracted way, can compose that soft symmetry, that perfect geometry of lines and curves?

To discover it you just have to scroll through these shots or scrutinize the mathematically imperfect body of the woman who chose you.
