It is a programme of artistic requalification and social regeneration, conceived and produced by INWARD Observatory on Urban Creativity with the participation of the resident community, started within a grey residential complex on the outskirts that now has seven major interventions of urban art.

The last of these was created by Fabio Petani and is dedicated to the value of territorial knowledge and inspired by the studies of Aldo Merola, historical director of the Real Orto Botanico in Naples. The protagonist of the work is an Arum italicum, a Mediterranean plant that in ancient times was a symbol of protection for newborns, to which the artist has added the chemical element of silicon, typical of the volcanic area.

All the interventions of the Parco dei Murales have been realized by street artists of international fame, such as Jorit, author of Ael: a Roma girl symbol of integration and tolerance. The works, in addition to being linked with the territory, are the result of comparisons born during creative play workshops developed with young residents, during which were born reflections on the game as represented in the interventions of Rosk&Loste and Zed1; the importance of the future in the work of Mattia Campo Dall’orto; the social value of motherhood made by La Fille Bertha and solidarity in the intervention of Daniele Nitti.
