The wait is over; the Nike SB Dunk Low in collaboration with Futura Laboratories, the agency of Futura 2000 (Leonard Hilton McGurr), a legendary graffiti artist known for being one of the first muralists in New York, were finally released just yesterday. The price of the shoes on sneaker reseller platforms has already increased. They are sold out on SNKRS, where the starting price was €129.99, while on Dropout, they are already priced at €749.00.

Futura 2000’s career began over fifty years ago, and this collaboration doesn’t tell his entire career story but strives to bring together themes such as graffiti, skateboarding, and street art through modes of expression now identified as street art that continue to influence the creative world as we know it today.

This special edition in collaboration with Futura Laboratories—the design studio and lifestyle brand of McGurr—uses a bleached canvas, colored overlays, embossed details, personalized labels, and a translucent sole that showcases Futura 2000’s signature. The shoe is finished with contrasting stitching and two-tone laces coordinated with the original Dunk Low silhouette. It all recalls Nike’s long history of collaborations with artists and creatives, now stronger than ever with an important legacy for street art and beyond.
