Born in Casablanca in 1949 and descendant of an ancient noble family from southwest France (his father was a marquis), his career began in 1967, after meeting a key figure in the Berlin Dada scene, the German artist Raoul Hausmann. From then on, the career of the French-Moroccan artist/designer, who was passionate about graffiti and street art, did not stop until he became one of the protagonists of the art and fashion scene of the last 30 years.

After last year’s collaboration, Palace Skateboards renews the union with a capsule collection for the SS20 that will be released on June 26th.
The capsule items are characterized by the unique trait of Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, his illustrations and his delicate writing in the colors of the rainbow, play with the concept of mystery, play and happiness of Pop Art.

“For the second chapter of Palace and JCC, I combined the energies of these elements (signs and symbols) to design a strong, pop and powerful capsule collection designed for urban life”, commented Jean-Charles de Castelbajac.
