There’s God and there are the Peaky Blinders. This is the opening of the highly anticipated trailer for the fifth season of Peaky Blinders released by BBC One.
The fourth season of the series was aired in 2017, since then, in addition to the fact that it will reach the seventh season, it has been known very little and the trailer for the fifth season comes like a lightning bolt in the clear sky.
Looking at the video it seems that all this waiting will not have been in vain. The new season will have as a springboard the financial crisis of 1929, one of the darkest periods of the last century that has represented for some an irreversible misfortune and for others the opportunity they had been waiting for some time.
In this not easy climate, the new Member of Parliament Tommy Shelby always played masterfully by Cillian Murphy, comes into contact with another politician, whose shoes are dressed by Sam Claflin (Hunger Games, Me Before You). Soon, Tommy will understand that his behavior towards him could affect not only his family’s future but even that of the entire country.
The main theme is always the inner battle that tears apart the head of the Peaky Blinders who tries in every way to redeem himself, although fate has other plans for him.
Alongside Cillian Murphy, Helen McCrory and Paul Anderson will also return as Aunt Polly and Arthur Shelby respectively.
The trailer reveals a lot of things, but there is still no official release date. We’ll have to wait a little longer.
