I first saw the photographs by Luka Khabelashvili on the EyeEm platform and I was immediately struck by their beauty. The first element that struck me is the incredible stylistic coherence of this artist, despite using the most varied photographic and post-production techniques.
The expressiveness of the composition and the search for a particular brightness make these images interesting and full of emotional tension, even though they do not represent the faces of well-defined people. Just the power of the body’s gestures and its concealment, obtained in the most various ways, becomes charged with drama and makes us empathize with the subjects, which seem suspended in their worlds.
