At the release of the new movie Finding Dory, the Pixar Animation has created a new short titled Piper. One of the most exciting animations of recent years.

Born as animation’s experiment during the development of a new software, and quickly became an animated short, Piper immediately impresses the viewer for its photorealistic approach, leading computer graphics to a new level of perfection.

Suffice it to say that for every bird were animated and shaped by hand, from four to seven million feathers.

Directed by Alan Barillaro, the former supervisor for Wall-E, the short tells the story of a hungry little sandpiper that moves away from its nest for the first time and ventures in search of food on the coast, lying to deal with its fears and insecurities.
