Pixel Noir Lumière is the name of Miguel Chevalier‘s latest installation on display until 26 May 2019 at the Soulages Museum in the French town of Rodez. The interactive installation Pixel liquides is projected onto a wall, which becomes the canvas for moving digital brushstrokes, creating large abstract paintings in real time. The movements of the visitors who walk through the exhibition space become unknowingly authors of the work, since their movements are visually reflected on the virtual canvas.
L’origine du monde is the second interactive installation on display and is inspired by biology, microorganisms and cellular automata. The installation presents several virtual black and white paintings composed of universes of cells that move as viewers cross the floor.
