It seems that Nike continues to recruit athletes for its campaign which began in September with former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick. This time, the face of the sportswear giant is Manchester City player Raheem Sterling.
Again, the choice is not accidental, because Sterling has just been in the middle of a media storm due to his commentary on the British media and on how they speak and portray young black footballers. The subject, moreover, is by no means foreign to the player, since he was the victim of racist insults during a Premier League match.
The new campaign was published on both Twitter and Instagram by Nike Football profile and also by Sterling himself and consists of a detail of his face with the phrase “Speaking up doesn’t always make life easier. But easy never changed anything” and the iconic Swoosh.
