Erotic art generated with artificial intelligence

Recently talking about GAN Art, the infinite, at least in terms of numbers, possibilities of creating art through a generative network, which reworks data creating images with Artificial Intelligence, have emerged. It is possible to insert different information into a single algorithm, or process a single type of subject, for example nude images, as in the case of Robbie Barrat’s “AI Generated Nude Portrait” series.
The very young artist has selected thousands of oil paintings from the history of art, depicting Venus and erotic subjects, reinterpreted by the language of computer codes generating new nude images.
The works do not appear as Titian’s Venus or Ingres’ Odalisque, but as abstract subjects, spots of color in which eroticism is only evoked by the warmth of the colors.

The goal of Robbie Barrat’s project is not to create the perfect work of art, not even the ideal erotic subject. Barrat tries to detach himself from a generative art that aims at definition, investigating to the utmost the possibilities of computers to create
something unexpected.
I was able to get fairly realistic results; but realistic results bore after about 10 minutes. Employing a state-of-the-art algorithm to make the same kind of mediocre landscape paintings that we’ve already made for the last 500 years seems a bit limiting.” Said the artist.
Barrat’s “AI Generated Nude Portrait #5” work was one of the first images generated by a tokenized neural network on SuperRare, a leading NFT sales platform.
GAN will always be able to reproduce sharp, pornographic nude images, perhaps the fastest way to lose the pleasure of imagining eroticism.
