At first glance, RTiiiKA‘s works seem to be simple interweaving of lines and colored shapes, but rather represent very complex concepts, which the artist has chosen to represent in the most elementary way. The expressiveness made with little, this is the concept that moves the work of the graphic designer, illustrator and street artist also founder of the project Women In Paint Collective, a collective of over 300 women that provides support, advice and visibility to women artists.
The operation of synthesis was born from a need to learn self-taught painting techniques, researching from scratch a technique that would allow the realization of creative ideas that until recently reported in her work as a web programmer.
Among the techniques that he has deepened in his early artistic projects is that of wall art, as the purest expression of a collective art and street, so that RTiiiKA founded a collective in Bristol to bring together people interested in making murals in the city without running the risk of being mistaken for vandals. Also linked to the street are the works focused on road signs, with ironic messages that have become posters displayed in the bus stop shelters.
With the same ironic spirit is also his latest series, which consists of a line of genderless condoms, delivered on the occasion of his last exhibition Between the Lines. The condoms are a small detail (simple and immediate as in all his works) to talk about queer sexuality and autoeroticism, all ways of understanding the pleasure related to sex.
