Artist Ho Ryon Lee‘s series Overlapping Images incorporates a double exposure technique that is typically used in photography.
Lee takes pictures of models as they move around the set, assembles the shots in Photoshop, and then paints them on canvas. The result is a series of static and at the same time “moving” images in which those sweet moments of inattention are fixed on canvas, forever.
While the paintings reflect movement, they also exude a slow-motion sensuality. In most of Lee’s work, he represents a headless or faceless female form
