The Magnetism of Stasser’s Animated Creatures

Stasser’s 3D creatures come across as magnetic—and it isn’t just a matter of shape or color. It’s their ability to turn digital characters into emotional presences, able to inhabit the screen with an effortless naturalness. On his Instagram page, each render works like a fragment of a story—an invitation to look at the fluid boundary between digital design, character design, and imagination.

Stasser—stage name of Stanislav Moshkivskyi—is a self-taught artist based in Gdańsk, Poland, who uses 3D as a narrative tool even before it becomes a technical one. His visual research moves between pop culture, animation, and soft, rounded forms, bringing to life characters that feel suspended between the virtual world and the real one.

At the core of his practice is the creation of three-dimensional figures that communicate through micro-gestures and expressions. In his animated loops, a half-smile or the slightest movement is enough to suggest a personality, turning the render into a performative moment rather than a simple image.

Alongside the digital work, Stasser also explores 3D printing as a natural extension of his practice, bringing his characters off-screen and turning them into physical objects. It’s a step that strengthens the dialogue between the virtual and the tangible, placing his work in a hybrid zone between art, design, and contemporary experimentation.

What sets his approach apart is the balance between technical precision and a playful spirit. Stasser’s characters don’t rely on spectacle, but on a quiet presence that captures attention over time. In a landscape where 3D often risks being reduced to a pure exercise in style, his work reminds us that pixels, too, can tell stories—when they’re treated as living matter.
