Luca Ledda is an Italian artist from Turin which with a unique style he recently published his latest work “The irony of abundance“. A work that wants to reflect on our conception of the world and the consumption of its resources. The excess at the center of everything, always injecting the bitter taste of today’s consumer society in his surrealist works.
Watercolors and pen on paper, every detail drawn appears almost superfluous enlarged. Like the chubby hand with a clock depicting the euro, the Turin artist ridicules the concept of time, swept away and definitively replaced by money.
And then the inevitable reference to the so-called “Rich Life“, ideally represented in a soap bottle but which in reality is the goal to which everyone aspires. Or the brush represented as abundance or the soap represented as a symbol of wealth.
Illustrator, painter and street artist a truly all-round artist, “The irony of abundance” by Luca Ledda is a work that invites us to reflect on our life and our priorities.
