Find out what happened at Get On Board, the Vans’ Girls Skate Camp

Giulia Guido

Last Saturday, April 6, we at Collater.al were at the Get On Board, the Vans’ Girls Skate Camp. Arrived at the Pinbowl Skatepark in via Enrico Fermi di Pero, a real harem of skateboarding, between one ramp and the next we were offered the opportunity to participate in a lesson with some of the faces of Vans Italia.

Once off the table we rested in the Cinema Room, where we discovered, through some videos, the ambassadors of the global campaign of Vans, Vanguards, Lizzie Armanto, Yndiara Asp, Mami Tezuka, and Brighton Zeuner and many other stories related to the world of skateboarding.

Then, inside the Skate Clinic we discovered all the workshops where, after attending a lesson on real school desks, it was possible to customize and personalize the grip tape at the Grip Tape Custom Lab or screen-print your board at the Screening Deck Lab and make it really unique with spray colors and acrylics at the Custom Deck Corner. In addition to creative workshops, we also found laboratories dedicated to the technical part of this sport, where you can learn how to build obstacles in concrete or wood and how to assemble your own table from start to end.

In addition to all this, the Pinbowl Skatepark hosted an exhibition of some illustrations made by the artist and skateboarder Elenia Beretta and also a real nails bar run by the girls of Bahama Mama, where you can best prepare for the evening animated by DJ Set and live music by Ellie De Mon.
