Alexandre Farto aka Vhils has returned to the streets of his country donating to the city of São João a work that pays tribute to all the doctors, nurses, medical assistants and volunteers who have worked tirelessly in recent months.
The new mural is located right in front of the entrance to the São João University Hospital Centre and as well as demonstrating the closeness of the citizens to those who have faced the health crisis on the front line, it also wants to be a symbol and a message of hope for all young and future doctors and nurses who will start their careers at the Center of São João.
Ten huge faces of health workers covered by masks have been made with the technique that has now made Vhils known worldwide, hopefully observe all those who enter and leave the Center.
From today, this new and symbolic frontline will accompany everyone who enters or exits the São João University Hospital Centre, lest we forget those who selflessly work for the well-being of the people, in supporting and serving the community.
