Vinilica Vol. 41 – GIALLORENZO

Claudia Maddaluno · 4 years ago

Last Friday the Italian band GIALLORENZO released the debut album via La Tempesta Dischi. The group consists of two music projects already known in Milan, Malkovic and montag, who are now ready to take their sound further with the album “Milano posto di merda“.

Each of the eleven tracks tells the story of a madman from that city, like that of Giallorenzo, a man found dead after two months in the building where the band lived in East Milan.

The album sounds dirty and heavy with reflective lyrics and emotional guitars that come together to form a lo-fi / shoegaze atmosphere.

We asked GIALLORENZO to share with us a playlist filled with songs that inspired them to create this album.

HOLY SHIT! WE’VE MADE THIS REMOTE PLAYLIST FOR YOU, MAN!
IT’S FILLED WITH THE MUSIC THAT GETS US PUMPED UP INSPIRING THE SONGWRITING AND THEN THE MIXING PROCESS IN THIS ALBUM. THERE ARE ALSO SONGS THAT HELP US TO DESTROY SOME REAL OBJECTS DURING OUR LIVE PERFORMANCES. WE REALLY WANT TO BE THE MILAN SUICIDE TEENS BUT WE’RE ONLY THE GIALLORENZO BAND
