His first single was released in November last year, since his debut we loved his delicacy and enveloping lyrics that are intertwined with fine and direct writing capable of arriving in a fluid way without too many turns of phrase. The artist we are talking about is Nuvolari, who comes from Piacenza, class ’96, those who are not clear if they are still millennials or already generation z and is part of the “stable” of Bomba Dischi, always careful in the selection of new talent.
He picked up his first guitar when he was nine years old and since then he has never let go of it, the same instrument that is now the absolute protagonist in almost all his pieces and that with its sweet notes can make us fly. After endless afternoons of rehearsal rooms in the province with friends and listening to rambling, at 18 he wrote his first songs.
But the real debut, as we said, comes only in 2020, with “Persiani”, an intimate and refined song, of fine workmanship just like the famous carpets. From that moment he catapulted us into his universe, where Matteo Pisotti expresses himself in a current key but with an eye always turned to songwriting.
After “Fuori corso” his second single, a restless and introspective request for help, compared to the intolerance of the daily routine, last Friday he gave us a third song entitled “Emilia”.
“Emilia” is a song born in Paris, while Nuvolari was in Erasmus, in one of those moments where nostalgia assails you and everything seems to be so distant from what we were used to before.
“It was in one of those moments that I wrote it almost out of the blue, in one afternoon. As if the words expressed a feeling that had to come out of itself, lightning fast, and that I had to exorcise somehow. My purpose with this piece is not to tell about Emilia, which is almost idealized in the lyrics, but to express one of the experiences I had in Paris at that time.”
While waiting for new music, we can only tell you not to forget about Nuvolari’s music, one of the artists to keep an eye on this year. His sounds will make you magically calm down, maybe even think, but in general they will make you feel good, more or less.
In order to prepare ourselves in the best possible way, we had a playlist made directly by Nuvolari, exclusively for Collater.al Mag, to discover all his influences and get to know him better.
I put in this playlist some of the pieces that in recent years have most intrigued me, approached me and then swallowed me, without a logic nor a red thread.
