Who’s wssm6? Wassim Farah is a young photographer from Ottawa who collects the legacy of Petra Collins and Nan Goldin and reinterprets their style with irreverence. Glam colors and management of light are influenced by Petra Collins’s style imagery, muffled by a rebel approach that reminds softly the subjects immortalized by Nan Goldin, with the difference that Wassim shoots beautiful models. The freshness of his work is given by very close shots and crops on the faces of women, taken in an unusual way.
To make it popular, however, was his deep connection to music; despite being just a 21-year-old boy, Wassim has already had the opportunity to portray Lil Peep, Jorja Smith, Drake, Frank Ocean, and others on the scene. This unconventional attitude is also perceived in his works that are characterized by a mood out of the lines, where there is an element that is not exactly -and fortunately- in its place.
This is just the beginning of an artist’s career that has so much to offer. Look at our gallery below and take a ride on his site.
