The Turkish photographer Yalım Vural lives in northwestern Turkey, in Çanakkale, and in his photography he turns everyday life into something more. His shots stand out for an almost painterly quality: soft contours, diffused light, and delicate shadows that recall brushstrokes more than pixels. It’s an approach that makes each frame feel suspended between reality and imagination, as if the street suddenly became a moving painting.

Among his most recognizable works is the Rainy Roads series, where wet asphalt, reflections, and soft lights convey the melancholy and beauty of cities in the rain. His gaze is intimate and contemplative, capable of capturing the fleeting essence of an ordinary moment and turning it into something meaningful.

In recent years, Vural has received several accolades, including the ND Awards Mobile Photography Award in 2021 and being named a finalist at the Street Photography International Awards in 2019, confirming his commitment to street photography.
