After a 422-day journey, the monumental work by street artist Yuri Catania on the façade of Credinvest Bank reaches its final evolution, transforming into Astro Credy On The Moon, an artistic intervention that symbolically takes street art into space and anticipates one of the most eagerly awaited moments in contemporary exploration: a woman’s first step on the Moon.

It all began on January 22, 2025, when an astronaut figure appeared across the six floors of the glass building on Via Cattori in Lugano. Floating among peonies, camellias, and dahlias, she gazed toward the Moon, representing a desire, a promise, and the will to overcome everyday limits. Today, that symbolic journey comes to an end: Astro Credy has reached the Moon, and the message transforms into something new, marking the transition from dream to reality.
Over the course of a year, the artwork changed before the city’s eyes, following the rhythm of the seasons and building a slow, almost cinematic narrative. The Moon shifts from the side façade to the heart of the structure, while the astronaut—no longer traveling but having arrived at her destination—merges with the lunar surface dominating the building. Around her, Yuri Catania’s iconic flowers and butterflies return, recurring elements of his visual research and symbols of a fragile and precious biodiversity that accompanies even the most futuristic imagination.
The intervention unfolds across 550 square meters of glass surface, establishing itself as the largest street art installation ever created on glass. This achievement was made possible through collaboration with the Ticino-based company Tipack Group from Agno, which handled the material application, transforming the building’s architecture into a transparent and monumental canvas.
The artwork extends beyond the exterior. One of the building’s interior rooms has been transformed into a colorful garden, a natural extension of the intervention and an integral part of its visual ecosystem. Created in mixed media art, Astro Credy also develops in a digital dimension: by scanning the façade through the Artivive app, visitors can access augmented reality content created by the artist, expanding the experience and building a continuous dialogue between physical space and virtual dimension.
With Astro Credy On The Moon, the Moon is no longer a distant destination, but a symbolic space where dreams, progress, and human sensitivity find a new point of encounter.
