Simon Kerola, aka Johnny Keethon, è un fotografo svedese che ha concentrato la sua ricerca artistica sullo storytelling, esplorando le mille sfaccettature della malinconia in chiave poetica e romantica. L’artista ha più volte affermato di ispirarsi alla sua infanzia, ai ricordi, ai film di Bud Spencer and Terence Hill e dalla musica.

Come spiega Simon:

“A sense of loss and longing has found its mirror when the sun rises in the distance. I always find myself searching for nostalgia, a timeless place where nature is still dominant. It’s feels as if these places inspire to tell stories and I just happen to be there to document”.

La solitudine e l’abbandono vengono raccntati tramite immagini ben studiate, dove nulla è lasciato la caso: probabilmente Simon elabora mentalemente le sue storie, per poi tradurle a livello visivo.
