If your dream has always been to buy a work of art by a great artist, but you have never had a million to spend, don’t despair.
Banksy, through his Instagram profile, has put up for sale a piece from Dismaland, the theme park not suitable for children that he opened in the summer of 2015. The work in question is a sculpture of a refugee boat measuring 90x38x42 cm equipped with a motor and batteries, capable of reaching a speed of 3 knots.
Anyone could really buy the statue and to get it there are two things to do: pay 2 pounds (2.25 euros) through the official website of Choose Love and, here’s the exciting part, guess the exact weight of the work. To participate you have time until 20.00 on December 22, while the sculpture will remain on display in London, at the Help Refugees shop in Carnaby Street.
