Burn&Broad studio has modified some New York signs

The design studio Burn&Broad has created a very nice project for the streets of New York called “it’s a sign™”, transforming the city’s iconic street signs into fun and eye-catching images.

Burn&Broad is a New York-based creative studio founded in 2016 by former Nike art director Eugene Serebrennikov and award-winning artist, illustrator and creative director Vicente Garcia Morillo.

The studio wanted to create something in stark contrast to the dizzying and laborious signage that typically fills the streets of the city. The American studio’s signs create carefree, humorous graphics that force passers-by to look up, peer at their faces away from the phone and simply smile.

So this summer they took to the streets of the “Big Apple” to share a bit of positivity and creativity with everyone, hoping to catch a little smile with phrases like: “Have a NYC day”, “Never Sleep, N:YC.
