For Filip Hodas, a digital artist of Czech origin, pop culture is daily bread. A few years ago we already talked about his project Pop culture dystopia in which he imagined popular objects and games in a post-apocalyptic world.
Now let’s talk about Filip Hodas again because his latest series of works, entitled Cartoon Fossil, is brilliant to say the least.

Combining his passion for skulls and his 3D skills, the artist has imagined what the skulls of some of the most popular cartoon characters might look like. From Goofy to Spongebob, from Minnie to Uncle Scroogebob, their skulls are very recognizable thanks to the typical shapes of their faces, but above all thanks to some elements that Filip has skilfully left as the red and white polka dot bow of Mickey Mouse’s partner or the yellow feathers of Tweety.

Each fossil of Cartoon Fossil is presented as if it were on display in an art gallery, standing out against a brightly coloured background.

At this point we can’t wait to see what Filip Hodas will invent for the next project.
