You know Peter Pan’s shadow? Here it is found, in the images of Delfina Carmona, art director and photographer based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Through her Instagram account, Delfi managed to create her own visual code that made her recognizable among millions of other artists. Where is the magic?
“I see daily life artistically as if it were my own film, where I write the screenplay of what happens to my character step by step”.
Delfina has created an icon, a character, that tells the adventures of everyday life in a creative way, especially those related to the moments that mark the day: waking up, eating and sleeping. The recurring element, however, is the shadow, a constant and almost tangible presence, capable of totally modifying the key to interpreting the scenes.
The marked contrasts are accentuated by warm tones, where yellow and red prevail, sometimes muffled by electric blue. This narrative coherence brings the audience closer together, as they feel part of the character’s routine and “love” her image.
Delfina Carmona has created her imagination, a world made of suggestions, lights, shadows and simplicity. Take a look at the gallery below.
