Nick Prideaux is an Australian photographer based in Paris. On Collater.al we talked about his work two years ago, when he was still living in Bangkok, today we tell you the development of his art.

Nick’s is a sharp and essential analog photography that rejects the superfluous. His work is based on subtraction, focusing on the beauty of small things, capturing the present and looking towards the everyday.

His photographs are permeated with a delicate and dreamy atmosphere and tell fleeting and ephemeral moments. Each shot is brightened by the warm light of the morning: intense rays, gentle reflections, colorful glow.

“My approach to photography is guided by my intuition, rather than preconception. The camera gives me a way of looking at every day in a more conscious light and a way of surfacing thoughts and feelings that are otherwise difficult to access and express.”

Nick Prideaux works with clients from all over the world: this year he worked with Amalthea, a Parisian organic cosmetics brand, Bastille, a French perfume line and Tres, a Japanese lingerie brand.
