After having had a boom and even a crisis, the comic book is returning to be part of our lives, but under the name of graphic novel. So let’s forget about Mickey Mouse, the heroes of Marvel or DC, today those who devote themselves to this art not only want to tell well-constructed stories but also want to convey a message, a moral. Evan Matthew Cohen is an illustrator and cartoonist who, thanks to his illustrated stories, has become known and followed internationally. 

His narrations begin, develop and end in a few boxes that all coexist on the same sheet and the undisputed protagonists of his work are change, personal transformation, evolution. These themes are represented through man, but also through the representation of nature. So we see the Earth being worked as if it were a piece of modeling clay and become a small human being or even a person closing so as to become a flower. 

Through his illustrations, Evan Matthew Cohen wants to convey above all an emotion, a state of mind of relaxation, of peace with the world and in my opinion, he has succeeded fully.
