The latest creation by art director Lim Si Ping has been called an installation, but it’s much more. It’s called Facebook and it’s an interactive book that thanks to facial recognition can develop different stories according to the user.

The system developed is able to associate the face detected with the data tracked by search engines and at that point, thanks to an algorithm, can tell a story by filling in the gaps, such as the characteristics of the protagonist with the personal data of the reader, name, age, gender, place of birth, tastes.

So, the more you browse the book the more you will understand that what you are reading is your story or at least a story based on your digital profile.

Surely there will be some who will stand against this technological invention similar to the Black Mirror one’s, others instead will appreciate its originality, others will call it “progress”. And which side are you on?
