Tim Lahan is an illustrator known for creating several advertising campaigns like that of Kenzo with large eyes on psychedelic colored backgrounds, a bit 13th Floor Elevators ‘style. In fact, Tim’s creations seem to come from a LSD trip of bright colors and rainbows that convey a great joy of life.
The power of his light and carefree language lends itself well to any type of representation and becomes a hallmark of his aesthetic, which is never boring but is continually renewed with joyful experiments.
“My professional background is in graphic design, so I think looking for a means to communicate something naturally became a part of my illustration stuff. I didn’t really set out to get into editorial illustration”.
The exuberance of his illustrations and their immediacy reach everyone, because instilling happiness is a simple thing.
