Lucas Garrido is a Spanish artist and photographer now based in New York. His work began in Barcelona, but the desire to make his way in the world of photography was so strong that after a few years he moved to America to play the game and grow professionally.
His photography is at once intimate and universal, cinematic and realistic, alive and moving. Lucas puts his naked subjects at the centre of the scene, he photographs human feelings and lives them, rather than simply documenting them.
Lucas Garrido looks at the photographic frame as a great composition, within the frame he constructs modern representations, puts beauty at the centre of the scene and shoots. His photography intrinsically digs into man, it is a mirror in which to look and recognise oneself.
