1981, GOTHAM – A man with a clown-painted face wanders the streets terrorizing citizens.
You got it right, Joker, the iconic DC Comics character, and his terrifying laughter are back in a film that already smells like a masterpiece. In the film produced, written and directed by Todd Philips, it will be Joaquin Phoenix who will wear the clothes and face of the dreaded clown.
Joker, in everyday life Arthur Fleck, is a man who works as a clown by day and in the evening tries to break through as a comedian in the cabaret environment, fighting permanently against depression, loneliness, and apathy.
The film will be presented to the public on Saturday, September 30 at the Venice Film Festival and will be released in cinemas on October 3.
