Liz and Mollie illustrate complicated office life

Giulia Guido

We don’t want to crush the dreams of all those who are still studying or about to finish their studies, but anyone who has been working, even for a short time, knows that life is often not what they imagined.

Liz Fosslien and Mollie West Duffy know this well, but instead of complaining and doing nothing to improve the situation, they turn their experiences and emotions into simple, colourful and real cartoons every day. This is how Liz and Mollie came into being, the Instagram profile – but also a real brand – in which they share their illustrations.

The central theme is life in the office, what it’s like to work, the stress that’s always ready to make us make mistakes, the moments of discouragement, those when it seems we’re not getting any better, and smartworking, the perception of our days in recent months.

Despite all this, Liz and Mollie are always there to tell us that this is normal, it’s part of the game.

We can have a bad day, but we don’t have to let it stop us from seeing all the good things we’ve done so far, and we can even feel like the weekend no longer exists, we just have to go on Liz and Mollie’s Instagram profile to feel understood.

And if that’s not enough, the two young creatives have also produced a book called No Hard Feelings: The Secret Power of Embracing Emotion at Work in which they offer advice on how to improve your life at work.
